Spiderman: Far from home

From Homecoming to Far from home, Spiderman in 2019 has been on a wild ride and is facing a very different set of problems than those originally created in the Toby Maguire version of the same.
This Spiderman film is set directly after the Avengers End Game, and the plot follows a grief-stricken Peter as he tries to find a sense of normalcy in his young life while dealing with the loss of his mentor, Iron Man.

Now following the 'snap', many things have changed in the Marvel universe, and turning back the clock is sometimes a harder reality for most. And while all this is happening, Peter finds out that Tony Stark had left him one of his inventions. Peter himself feels he is unworthy to take on the legacy that Stark had left behind and instead tries to give the gift away, feeling that such power should be in the hands of an adult who has already made the choice to give up their normalcy for saving the planet, a choice that Peter has yet to make.

This coming of age story is one that is quite unlike its predecessors, the film dances with the theme of trying to move forward with one's life after having lost someone close to you. An inevitable fate, but one that is challenging to deal with nonetheless.

I for one applaud Hollywood for taking the chance to touch of more sensitive topics of life, and to give a very realistic view of the heroes that we have grown up loving so dearly.
And while Spiderman tries to find a comfortable balance between stepping into the shoes of his former mentor, he is also making a new name for himself as one of the smartest and goofiest Marvel characters of all time.
